Aaron Wins Sexiest Sunny Boy and MOST TALENTED Sunny Boy

12 August 2006, Saturday: It was a momentous day indeed. Aaron was fighting neck to neck with other constentants in the first ever Miri Sunny Boyz competition which was held in Boulevard Shopping Complex at 7.30pm.

And of course, we were very excited about it. A few of us (me, tadsong, aaron's sis, lydia's sis, arther&gf, jiahaw, etc) went along to cheer Aaron on. The competition started late, well, as usual, Malaysian timing. Got off with speeches from the organizers, bla bla bla, boring stuff. Then each Sunny Boy contestant gave an introduction of themselves to the crowd (in which 90% said they liked playing basketball). And then, they had to pose half naked to show off their fit and muscular bodies. Well, of course, some were HOT HOT HOT, some were too thin and one was um fat :)

Then it was the talent show. All that we've been waiting for. To be honest, i don't really care what the others did. Some were singing, some proved themselves incompetent in basketball, some thought pumping was considered a talent and the champion who did skipping (yes i know skipping. like wtf right?) whereby more than half the time he was trying hard not to get tangled up. Yeah, some showcase of talents. How ironic.

But when it was Aaron's turn. So unfortunately, there was a technical error. "This one is special, look at the screen" said the announcer. And so we look and we could only see Aaron lip-synching. The video did not play!! It was a nightmare situation really, it was pretty embarrassing i thought. 5 minutes for embarrassment. Poor Aaron. It hit him hard, he was going to give up. But me, tadsong and arther were not going to let this technical error just pass like that. So the three of us went backstage and we told Aaron: You're gonna go up the stage again. THAT was a big technical error. The audience and the judges NEVER got to see your talent. Thats not fair and surely you ain't gonna make a fool out of yourself. So you MUST go up there again! And yeah of course he did.

And alas the most anticipated moment came. The moment we were so so excited about! Aaron came on again. Using his american english accent (well, sort-of) he apologized to the crowd for the technical error. And he introduced his show, that would eventually win him the most talented sunny boy award later, it was OUR MTV! N'SYNC- THIS I PROMISE YOU (the preview version of course) which he directed with a bunch of friends which he pointed to (can see us so bangga!). The MTV was an instant hit! Everyone and i mean everyone had their eyes glued on the screen. As though they've just seen the most amazing mtv ever. The crowd were estatic and their cheers were like deafening.

And yeah the competition went on with the dances by the contestants and the question and answer sessions. The competition was really heating up. We're all so excited! Edwin even called us till tadsong and my hp ran out of power just to get a live coverage. It seemed the aussie peeps are as excited as eager to know what was going on. Love you guys, our support stretches across continents!! Aaron made it to the last 5 but sadly, the top 3 spots eluded him, after some very very poor judging. It was a complete letdown. We were so so so convinced that he was going to win it. We were so ready at our feet to leap and celebrate as though Aaron had scored a golden goal in a worldcup final. We were so ready to scream till our throats burst. But, no..what an anticlimax, we were all disappointed. Everything seemed like a standstill when the results were announced. Time paused. All was lost. We could not believe it, a pill too bitter to swallow. Despite this unfavourable result, the team was still pleased with the response of our MTV. Shows that people do appreciate and like what we're doing.

And of course there were a few un-sung heroes behind all these drama. Well, first of all, tadsong actually managed to put together the whole mtv in less than 24 hours. When i went to his place the afternoon before the competition i was very amazed at the work he did. And after a few tweaks here and there, we thought the mtv was ready for the night. But how wrong we were. Upon arriving at the venue, more problems popped out. We realised that the thumb drive couldn't be use. I had to rush down to buy CD-Rs and thank God tadsong brought his notebook along so we could burn it into VCD format. Then we had to make arrangements with the audio people who messed up aaron's performance. Well it does not sound that dramatic now but trust me it was a hell of an experience. The competition was already commencing at that time while me and tadsong sneaking backstage to prepare everything for aaron. But we're un-sung heroes after all.

Anyways, we would like to treat this experience as something we can learn from. We pick ourselves up after we fall. Again, we congratulate Aaron for winning the title! It means alot to the entire crew! We are proud of you! Thank you everyone for supporting us that night!!

Pitstop Creationz is born..

We're proud to present to you, Pitstop Creationz!!!

Our very first release, Yi Lu Xiang Bei a song by Jay Chow, was spectacular, where it reached 4800+ hits on Youtube.com. The response was very encouraging and we hope to treat it as a stepping stone that will catapult us to greater heights.

Pitstop Creationz is founded by Edwin Ha, Lai Voon Kiat and Aaron Ngiam. However, the crew is currently expanding and we've added more vigor and passion into our crew with the addition of dedicated members in the likes of Tad Song and Lydia, with additional support from Lin Gal and dwenna.

We would like to thank all of you (the crew, the casts, the actors and of course, our fans!) for your continuous support and faith in us. We pledge to work hard and hope to bring to you more creative productions in the near future.
